4. Breathe. Developing good breath work can slow your heart rate and slow the game down. When you are near an Ab or outing, you should work to control your breathing even more. Box breathing can be a helpful technique - Inhale 5 sec, hold 5 sec, exhale 5 sec, hold 5 sec, repeat.

3. Self Talk. Part 2:.Imagine in your head the outcome you want from the next pitch, then repeat to yourself that outcome you want. For example, “I’m going to paint this fastball and strike him out”. Repeat this phrase and you won’t have any room for negative thoughts to pop up.

3. Self Talk. Using self talk to create good thoughts can be extremely helpful. Part 1:.Wether this is out loud or an inner monologue, find an encouraging phrase to tell yourself every pitch. Example, “nobody can beat me”. Then repeat this phrase over and over again.

2. Develop Visual Cues. Pick out one visual you can use to help lock yourself in. Then pick another visual you can use to help reset if you find yourself in trouble. An example could be a foul pole or even just a tree. These are mental triggers and should be used every single Ab.

1. Develop a Pre-Pitch Routine. Write out a detailed routine of exactly what you plan to do. Then execute this over and over. This is helpful to alleviate some of the nervousness or jitters because we are so focused in executing the routine we forget about all the other stuff.

‼️Pitch Design‼️.•.When the middle finger is the dominant finger we are able to rip down through creating side spin unlike the fastball which has true backspin. •.Here we discuss more pressure towards the middle finger and less on the pointer. Cueing 40/60 or 30/70 pressure.
