sure i’m more nuanced about it now than i was a couple years ago but it really is so amazing that happiness is so freely available. “too cheap to meter”, as they say.

you know maybe i should make this my bit again: you really can just choose to be happy. it takes nothing. everything outside can stay the same and yet you’re happy.

gonna start with the first thing that’s coming to mind: man being alive is just so good ? every moment is just so vibrant and beautiful. i feel so happy inside from just. existing.

as a tangent it’s honestly crazy how many people are so viciously cruel to people they perceive as stupid. it’s wild how this is like one of the big remaining areas where it’s somehow widely considered acceptable to be disproportionately cruel.

i think part of it is that a lot of people read happy as stupid but idk at this point i’d rather be a cheerful airhead and dont care so much anymore whether people read me as smart or not.

what if i make more posts that are just me being happy about something. i’m honestly not sure why i don’t do that, irl im constantly being very happy about things.

. noticing that i really want my outwards personality to be more upbeat? i want to spread love and joy.

sometimes you get like an upper-mid post on here that for some reason tickles everyone so much that they just *have* to riff on it and all the riffs are terrible.

man today im really sad and not even really sure why?.

and i mean that’s when i wrap it in carefully worded phrases and disclaimers god forbid i just let my emotions flow on here.

like i make some complicated point about masculinity and most responses are either “wow yea i agree men suck” or “how dare you say that men suck” it’s exhaustiiiiing.

you know one type of annoying response is when i say a thing and people get upset about it and attack me but another type of annoying response is when i say something that is bounded and contextualised for me and then people take it to some extreme and use that to beat up others.

if you’re a leftist the game is super leftist, if you hate politics then the game is making fun of politics, i assume right-wingers play the game and think measurehead is based or whatever. it’s hilarious.

one thing i love about disco elysium that everyone seems to manage to project that the game affirms their particular beliefs. it’s really amusing to see in action.

honestly in general i feel captured by this ‘online persona’ i have crafted and sometimes i would like to tweet in a completely different style but i feel scared that people would find this confusing and get upset about it or something?.
