Today is Primrose Day. Primroses were the favourite flower of British Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli & to commemorate his death on this day in 1881, botanist Sir George Birdwood suggested a 'Primrose Day'. Primroses are amongst our favourite 'first flowers' of spring.
