We rely on the perceptions of others for validation instead of correcting our own errors to self validate ourselves. With all that said I would love to hear what anybody has to say on any of this, as I feel like I'm not the only one who feels this way (or maybe I am.. who knows!)

I feel like it's easy to forget where the value in art comes from, especially in today's society. We're so focused on how we look to other people as opposed to how we truly are. We want to look like we're shiny to others instead of actually shining our light from within

If I put the majority of my energy into making the release look pretty then that takes a toll on the quality of my music. If I focus on how I look on the outside then how I truly am on the inside will begin to rot. The tree will not produce fruit if you water the leaves.

These are just a few things my mind tells me when I want to release my work and it's the thing getting in the way of me actually putting it out. I get that it's necessary to present music in a way that's attractive and eye-catching but there seems to be an imbalance.

Tbh a big reason my music releases have been few and far between is due to the pressure I put on myself for how the "release campaign" has to be. "I gotta have 3 to 5 eye-catching promo videos" "The artwork has to be just right" "Gotta make sure I post at the right time of day"
