Our tailoring trainees with Malawi partner, FESODEV, have received their refurbished sewing machines. Yesterday we held an open day to show people exactly what these machines mean to trainees. But...this video says it all. I new opportunity, new access to business and profit.

Our last 2023 shipment has arrived in Malawi containing 5,767 expertly refurbished tools and making up 217 trainee kits. But why does this matter? A hammer might just be that to a DIY enthusiast in the UK, but these tools in the hands of our trainees are so much than that (1)

What is this #mysterytool? There's a hole in the top, perhaps for liquid? Inserting the correct gadget into one end will presumably make the brush-lined cogs go round (doesn't work with a ballpoint pen) and it's full of muck... so maybe its intended to clean something. But what?

Thank you! With your help, we have hit our target! Your donations for our Big Give appeal will make a huge difference to young women in Sierra Leone. If you would still like to make a donation to the project, or indeed any of our work, we would be delighted.
