We discussed the importance of the #Niagara region to Ontario & Canada's wine industry, competition from foreign wines, economic opportunities from agrotourism, ways to improve retail sales of Ontario wines in Ontario, & what to watch out for as interprovincial trade changes.

I also went on a boat tour to see how Phragmites, an invasive species, have completely altered their shorelines, affecting plants, wildlife, and human activities. Thanks to the #WalpoleIsland First Nation community for welcoming me and taking the time to speak with me. #onpoli

I’ll continue to stand alongside the people of Dresden, because if this can happen there, it can happen in any community. Read the full article about the event in the @ChathamDaily. 🔗:

I was in Dresden on Friday to meet with residents concerned about the landfill expansion project, which because of #Bill5, can move forward without an environmental assessment. Ontario needs a broader strategy for expanding landfill capacity, not a one-off project in Dresden.

Thanks to @RosaFloraLtd for welcoming me to their greenhouses! . Ontario flower growers mainly supply Canada & the U.S. While they face international competition, if you buy tulips, snapdragons, or gerberas, there’s a good chance they were grown right here in Ontario. #OntAg
