This session and book are RICH! @JessedHagopian is powerful! It is hard to capture all of the gems from tonight's session. But one takeaway, BUY THE BOOK!

A core thread in "Teach Truth," is elevating the resistance of educators to push back and challenge these uncritical race theorists. Stories like these ⏬encourage educators and community in their acts of resistance.

Another small group noted, "We spoke about the importance of supporting our practice with primary sources." ^^ Discussions like these allow time for processing and brainstorming.

Small group discussions further discussed, the notion of “educational arson." Others shared connections between history, storytelling, anti-imperialism and education.

Part of the experience of these classes, is giving educators the space to lean into the content and consider ideas for teaching this content in their classrooms. See below some of the themes that came out of those discussions.
