I like Twitter well enough. My biggest issue is that the ads, with only the little gray "Ad" label in the upper right hand corner, are not easily identifiable as adverts. I think it'd be more appropriate if the Ads bore a great red label: 'WARNING: LARK'S VOMIT!!!'

Today is Martinmas, the feast of St Martin of Tours, a major festival in medieval Europe which heralded the approach of winter with fire and feasting. St Martin is the patron saint of soldiers, often shown sharing his cloak with a poor man to protect him from the winter cold.

Similar to Theology, Philosophy, etc, Science is a way to help us make sense of our world. Yes, it is a highly effective tool to help us understand our physical world. But it is only a lens. It is not the world itself. And as a tool devised by man, it is not perfect. 2/2

This is your periodic reminder that "creation" is not science. "Creation" is the physical/material world in which we live, that, depending on your beliefs, was either brought into being by God or a happy accident. Science is just a way to think about and look at this world. 1/2

I know I've said this before, but if I want the experience of seeing a movie in a theater, I'll just pour soda and popcorn on the floor, and pay the neighbor kid to sit behind me and kick my chair for the duration. Movie theaters are dead to me.

I don't remember when it started, but I no longer "bump" my head on things, nor do my grandchildren. We all "bunk" our heads. Does anyone else accidentally "bunk" their heads on things. Or is everyone else just bumping their heads all old-school like?
