Air Force lieutenant colonel who was POW in Vietnam for 5 years – whose prison mate was John McCain – and whose joyful homecoming in 1973 was captured by AP photographer died at age 92 on Veteran's Day last week. Photographer won the 1974 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography.
