All the students or atleast make the cut off fail mark be 8/20 because everyone was expected to be promoted. This is because it’s private school after all. If parents are spending so much only for you to fail their child, they’ll just send them to the next available school.

Very true oo. This is a very common thing with private schools. My first year of teaching, I didn’t know this. I gave out student’s marks as they deserved. I got called into disciplinary council because my subjects(maths and physics) were worst performing. I was told to pass
