Congratulations to Zambia on their $34.65M investment plan, approved under @CIF_Action's Nature, People & Climate Program. Developed with @AfDB_Group, @IFCAfrica & @WorldBank, the plan aims to boost livelihoods while protecting 110,000 hectares of forest.

#CleanCooking is not only a critical climate target – it’s also a global health goal. Delighted to share our experiences funding clean cooking projects around the world at an @IEA & @COP29_AZ event today, alongside so many @CIF_Action partners: Brazil, the UK, India, Uganda.

Yesterday morning all four heads of the world’s major multilateral climate funds sat down with Ministers @AnnelieseDodds and @KerryMP, to discuss the UK’s ambitious new climate goals just announced at #COP29 – which includes reducing emissions by 81% by 2035. #MCF

@IEA @CIF_Action And today it was lovely to meet up with Habiba Ali, the CEO of @sosairen, one of the largest distributors of renewable energy products in Nigeria. Clean technologies have the potential to make energy affordable, efficient and sustainable - for all. #COP29

Also great to share with long-term CIF partner Dr Fatih Birol from @IEA the latest developments on our stepped-up support for clean energy transitions, which we are taking to a new level with our @Cif_action Capital Market Mechanism #CCMM

Yesterday at #COP29 I had the chance to speak to Prime Minister Siaosi Sovaleni, about our cooperation for greater climate resilience in Tonga, including climate-proofing critical infrastructure.

Wonderful to meet and exchange with @icdiong at #COP29, Executive Director of the new Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD). Looking forward to many more conversations about our shared commitment to support communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis.
