In their final week, students led a mock City Council meeting and they absolutely shined! 💫 Since starting the Academy in 2019, over 100 students have participated across spring & fall sessions. So proud of this latest group and excited to see all they’ll achieve next!

We just wrapped up our Fall 2025 Young Civic Leaders Academy! 20 amazing students spent six weeks diving into local government exploring the city budget, touring @YLWD, hearing from our Police & Fire Chiefs, and meeting with local businesses and the Chamber.

It was such a joy getting to know Tanya, Sopheap, Lucille & Christa from Thailand, Cambodia & the Philippines who worked with county departments this past month. Having traveled to the region with @ACYPL last year, it was especially meaningful to welcome them to Orange County!

This past month it was a pleasure to help coordinate a group of Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) fellows here in Orange County. 🇺🇸🌏 YSEALI is a State Department program that builds youth leadership across Southeast Asia & promotes regional & global cooperation.

Yesterday marked the end of an era in Yorba Linda. After 12 years of dedicated service, our City Manager Mark Pulone officially retired. Though often behind the scenes, Mark was the calm, steady hand guiding our city through growth, change, and major milestones.

Tsunami Advisory is in effect for the west coast as a result of an 8.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Kamchatka, Russia. Tsunami waves are capable of producing strong currents and dangerous waves. Stay away from beaches and waterways until officials deem it safe to return.

There is no current threat to Yorba Linda.
