Tapadh Leat is Gaelic for 'thank you'. We are a group of students hoping to make Inverurie Academy a more grateful place through notes and acts of kindness.
Joined March 2019
they have learned so much from her expert guidance and mentorship. Miss Massie has played a significant role in the growth and success of her students, both in and out of the classroom, and they are immensely thankful. #Respect #Integrity #Ambition @InverurieAcad

Miss Massie has regularly taken the extra time to go over difficult concepts step by step in an atmosphere where students feel safe to ask for help. They are grateful for the patience, kindness, and dedication that has been shown by Miss Massie, and acknowledge that

The student who wrote the nomination testified that Miss Massie has gone above and beyond to create a positive and engaging learning environment, which inspired them to pursue their interests and passions, as well as allowed them to pursue the university course of their dreams.

The committee received many amazing nominations from the community, and despite that, we eventually came to the unanimous decision to present the award to Miss Massie. Miss Massie has pulled out all the stops to help her students and has shown her resilience and selflessness.

As our outgoing captain said in her speech: This year in Tapadh Leat, we have made an effort to try and spread gratitude around the school, and the Tapadh Leat award is an important step that we take to honour those within the school who often go underappreciated.

The committee had their work cut out for them deciding a winner from this year's nominations, however there was unanimous agreement that this person should win this year...

There could be no other winner than @rubypeacex, the nominations were overwhelming and so positive. Ruby has been such an incredible role model and a real credit to herself and the school. We are delighted that she is our winner this year!

No-one who saw it could forget the friendship that was on display at our talent show last year, and one of the winners was clear in his desire to nominate his partner - she would always have a friendly word for him.
