My parents passport expires in 5 months and they want to travel to us for 3 months so they will be back way before passport enquiry, just want to avoid last min denial at checking counter for aged parents.

I checked with immigration authorities at delhi airport and the confirmed that specifically for usa there is no such requirement also asked me to try @cgisf and ask , then why is air india not updating its travellers or policies per country?

As per air india they wont let one travel unless they have 6 months validity remaining on passports, but cannot find any documentation/literature. They dont have time to renew passport as even tatkal appointments are 2 weeks out.
