Individualism was the plausible front. The real reason men moved to the new uniform is because it carries no pressure or expectations. No one has to live up to jeans and a T-shirt.
Modern men did away with suits, uniforms, class-designating hats to say 'I'm such an individual look at my jeans and t-shirt'.

Great reminder that good style doesn’t have to be formal, flashy, or complicated. A look like this won’t ever make #menswear headlines but that isn’t the goal. The clothing and the physique both convey a man who lives on purpose instead of someone who just survives.

Whenever I disagree with Matt Walsh, I hold my tongue because usually within a year or two, I end up being there. Could be he’s more mature. I do think he’s wrong about interior design tho. I take it seriously and consider it masculine. Remind me in a year on this.
