When I called again, I got templated answers from bored customer care execs @bookmyshow like "our team is investigating", "please wait", and the best "you will get a reply on email and text when it is resolved, but can't give a timeline". Talk about stating the obvious!.

I sent the mail showing the duplicate payment immediately and was told to expect a resolution by end of the week. However, suffice to say I am yet to see my money back. Beyond an automated message, I got no response from @bookmyshow.

Now after an hour or so, the earlier UPI transaction went through and payment was deducted. At the counter, I was told this amount will be credited back to my acct once I raise the issue at customer service. I did so the next morning, and was told to send proofs and screenshots.

So @bookmyshow is now running a new scam at events. I was trying to make a UPI payment for availing F&B services at the top-up counter at last week's Ed Sheeran concert. Obviously, due to pathetic internet connection at the venue, the payment was stuck so I paid by card.

What is happening ? Multiple reports saying #Xdown, but @DownRec says "User reports indicate no current problems at X (Twitter)". Is this a global or local issue? Is @elonmusk sleeping? It's only midnight at Texas. 🙂.
