After a disappointing Halloween film pick of Megan yesterday (felt like a kids film, but with a few fun scenes I guess), diving into Longlegs tonight and so far it is absolutely doing the trick 🖤😱

Experiencing the (very much first world problems) acute irritation of waiting in for a parcel deliberately scheduled for today only to find out it's not been dispatched and no-one knows when it will be

How is it November today? This year is crazy

Everyone napping before dinner and a dog walk attempting to dodge the trick or treaters 🖤😴

PS the worms were great 🖤🪱

But it just felt like it could have done more with all that run time

And I say this still having very much enjoyed the film (sometimes the more I like a film the more critical it makes me, strange I know)

The Harkonnens became cartoon villains where there could surely have been more layers

Too many of them were one dimensional. The Fremen almost all felt like props to Paul's story when we could have learnt so much more about them

For a film so long, it feels like I should have known more about the characters, felt a bit more like I cared for them

But, mostly with the second installment, it felt lacking in character depth

So I have other thoughts. No doubt they are both stunningly beautiful visually...
