Cloudflare Workers is a very nice tool for hosting a NextJS application. Easy to configure, easy to get deployed from GitHub actions. I m really happy with this product.

The AWS GPU adventures: running out of available instances in EUW1, S3 CSI driver not supporting caching on ephemeral driver, caching can’t be re used by 2 pods from the same RS if using pod credentials… happy days 😂.

NS, Dutch SNCF, on strike coming Friday, paralyzing large part of the country. But, still no working internet in the trains (now it has been for 2+ weeks), no actual cleaning of the trains, random delays weekly… before striking, what about providing services we pay for? 😁.

Now horizontal pod autoscaling with custom metrics (TensorFlow metrics, amount of requests) in place so it runs and it scales thanks to KEDA. Today, we make it almost serverless ahahahahahahah.

TensorFlow serving cluster in K8S with GPU provided through Nvidia MPS. Quick, strong and almost green. Next step, inference on demand, scaling the cluster from / to 0. Greta’s gonna love it 😂

Realizing at midnight that it would be a good idea to recompile ffmpeg and opencv for python to take fully advantage of the CUDA magic was maybe a mistake 🤣.

Is NextJS 14 supporting Raspberry Pi 4? Tried to compile and run a project on with the SWC module for RPI but it seems that it supports at most NextJS 13. Has anyone found a way to run their website on RPI?.

Deployed @onyx_dot_app in our K8S cluster with GPU nodes using the AWS ACKs for the data layer. Pretty neat setup so far, no RDS credentials exposed within the cluster, very happy with that.

If you look at the 4th picture with the yellow part with the plugs, it’s USB-A - SNCF against European standard? 🤣.

New CI clusters rolled out. Kubernetes 1.31, Karpenter, Access entries and Windows 2022 pool. No auto mode because of compliance. While it works well, the amount of “go figure out” around Windows setup is quite a thing: never forget to fuck around with clusterRoleBindings ahahah

Azure DevOps allows you to set permission to a given repo for a given Azure Entra ID group. However (!), it works ONLY if you Entra ID group is linked to Azure DevOps group at project level

Run GPU hungry services on ECS is possible but it can end up being very expensive due to the way ECS allocate GPU resources. Running multiple services using GPU on 1 agent is challenging. However, device plugins on K8S does the magic missing for ECS. K8S 1 - ECS 0.
