As a kid, I watched the Independence Day parade on TV with awe. Today, as a Civil Servant, I hoisted the National Flag and took the salute. Life came full circle. A moment of pride I’ll never forget. ✨ Happy Independence Day! 🇮🇳

Imagine - in a parallel world, all the lost water bodies in Kashmir are reclaimed. You set off in a shikara from Sangam and glide up to Khadniyar in Baramulla. Venice of the East, for real! But, first, that will take a “little” civic sense to stop turning them into trash cans.

A 45-minute brisk trek off-trail. No signs, no crowds. Just dense forest, surreal wildflowers, and the divine sound of water - culminating at a little-known waterfall, fed by the stream that begins at Kaej Nag. Few know it exists. Fewer have seen it; and let it remain so.

On an official trip to Keran, got to explore the remote hamlets of Naga Top & Brindori. A dangerous drive on a narrowly rugged road with zero margin for error ended where a 45-min trek began through wildflower-strewn meadows. The view from the top? Absolutely breathtaking!
