Our wonderful Year 5 / 6 pupils have been learning about religious freedom in RE lessons and they have written some incredibly powerful lyrics inspired by Nina Simone's song 'I wish I knew How It Would Be To Be Free.' We are so proud of them!

Today is #WorldBookDay2024. To celebrate, we have come to school in our cosy reading clothes and decorated potatoes as their favourite books and characters. We have also enjoyed welcoming parents and staff into school to read with the children (thank you so much!).

This afternoon, Brambles were joined by Mr Hunt, a local beekeeper. He brought in lots of things for us to look at that he uses to keep his bees, and he let let those who wanted to to try on some of his equipment and taste some honey.

What an absolute privilege it has been today to invite Paul Sturgess into our school. At 7ft 8in, he is recognised as Britain's Tallest Man, as well as the Guinness World Record Holder for being "The Tallest Professional Basketball Player."
