Nigel Farage is now talking about cutting the minimum wage for young people. Once again, instead of going after the super-rich, he attacks ordinary workers. So much for being a man of the people.

The High Value Manufacturing Centre is where many of our next generation of engineers will develop the skills to get well-paid jobs in advanced manufacturing, robotics and more. Funded by our two Labour governments, it’s a centre fit for the inspirational students I met today
A high tech facility has opened in Ebbw Vale to train the next generation of engineers, part funded by £10m from the UK Government. Welsh Secretary @JoStevensLabour met some of the local young people who will benefit. @BlaenauGwentCBC @coleggwent

I have signed several amendments to the Pension Schemes Bill to direct funds to end investments that violate our obligations under international law. The principle that law should apply in warzones was hard won. Abandon it and the world becomes a more dangerous place @pscupdates

Comments by Nigel Farage and Lee Anderson undermine, stigmatise and degrade victim-survivors of child sexual abuse. It’s dangerous and cruel, and they owe victims an apology. 🧵

I co-chaired a meeting on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) reform in Parliament last week, bringing in stakeholders and experts to talk through what we need to see in the upcoming White Paper, which has been pushed back to next year. @APPGEducation

I voted against Farage’s Ten Minute Rule Bill to withdraw from the ECHR today. You don’t get to only strip rights away from immigrants. You will strip rights away from everyone. We know where that can lead.

Really pleased that our @UKLabour Government is able to make this service available to women in England, following our @WelshLabour government’s introduction of free morning-after pill service in Wales in 2011
NEW: The morning-after pill will be available free of charge on the NHS from pharmacies today! This is biggest change to sexual health services since the 1960s and a major advance for women’s reproductive health. https://t.co/ZmjuBU94u4

Cofiwn Aberfan. I will be speaking in a Westminster Hall Debate tomorrow on coal tip safety and the prohibition of new coal extraction licences.
59 years ago we witnessed one of the bleakest days in our history. We will never forget those who lost their lives in the Aberfan disaster, most of them children. The strength shown by the community who faced the unimaginable continues to be a shining example to us all.

Devastating news today about the Welshpool Air Ambulance Base. My heartfelt thanks to the campaigners who have spent years opposing this. You have my gratitude and the gratitude of everyone in Mid and North Wales. The fight for fair rural healthcare provision will continue.

By changing Skilled Worker Visas, many who have come here legally to work could be at risk of deportation when their current visas expire. We will lose talented people working in crucial sectors of the economy. Proud to stand with @RMTunion members protesting against the changes

I took evidence from students and staff from Telford College for the Education APPG's recent report on the Love of Learning earlier this year. It is delightful to see them continue to engage in sector-leading practice to the benefit of constituents like Megan from Newtown

Standing room only at the Socialist Campaign Group's conference meeting. I called for rapid delivery of the policies that will directly affect people's lives: massive investment in council housing, more support for the poorest households, and bold climate action to lower bills.

I am appalled by the terrorist attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester today. I have been in touch this afternoon with constituents who were in attendance to offer my support. Hate of all kinds has no place in our society.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be asked to be a speaker @UKLabour conference in Liverpool #Lab25 at @UoMPolicy fringe to discuss attendance in schools with @DixonsAcademies @RightToSucceed @Parentkind @switherdenMP

If @NigelFarage had his way, you’d be back down the mines and our NHS, born here in Wales, would be sold off to the highest bidder. Only @WelshLabour can keep @reformparty_uk out of Wales.

We sold off our assets in the 80s and are one of the world's most privatised economies. What do we have to show for it? Bus and rail nationalisation is a good start but life's essentials should be under public control - and the fair taxation of extreme wealth can bring it about
Welcome to Rip-Off Britain. A country remade by privatisation. Our latest project — Who Owns Britain? — explores how a radical experiment transformed our society and shapes your life. 🧵

Politics should be closer to people. I spent all of last week driving around Montgomeryshire and Glyndŵr, speaking with constituents on the doorstep and in the streets, hearing their concerns about their local communities.

“We reject those divisive politics from both the nationalist parties. And we are saying to the Welsh public, stick with us.” Reform brings “divisive politics into Wales” and Plaid Cymru’s independence plan will cost Welsh adults thousands of pounds, says @JoStevensLabour.

NEW: Labour accused of “deliberately misleading” trade unions & members over “genocide whitewashing”. It comes after Minister Hamish Falconer supported a motion saying the UN Commission found "a risk" of genocide. He was told that was false & downplayed the report's finding 🧵

I will be addressing a demonstration outside party conference in Liverpool tomorrow on the deliberate extermination of the people of Gaza: missile by missile, bullet by bullet, calorie by calorie. Read my article ahead of the speech in @LabourOutlook

Steve Witherden MP says this genocide will be a dark stain in the history of our country.
