To shorten a guide catheter: Trim 10–15 cm from the guide’s proximal end. Use a femoral sheath 1 Fr smaller than the guide. Cut a 2 cm sheath piece as adapter, flare both ends and slide adapter over the cut ends of the guide. #CathLabHack #InterventionalCardiology

This was last year (2023). This year the cases were even tuffer. But it’s still an unforgettable experience with all the friendly staff at Grzegorz place, the famous car ride back to Warsaw reuniting with the rest of the CTO community. I hope be able to come back again next year.

Our microcatheter anchor technique (MAT) published. Working around retroflexed graft insertion sites can be difficult. MAT adds to our current balloon anchor toolbox (eg BASE and side BASE) and can be used for wiring, MC tracking in other difficult coronary anatomies.
