Returned to a favourite spot today sat by the lake at a local park. The last photo is from mid June there. It's been a fabulous Summer in the UK, can't recall a better one since the famous, blazing hot 1976 .

Just found this fabulous live Bootleg from Long Beach, Cal in 1974. Before The Kiss & Harvester Of Eyes are the On Your Feet versions (that i've noted so far). 1974-81 one of the finest live bands on Planet Earth ;.

Bid on 4 Avengers CGC slabs this afternoon. It was looking good 20 minutes out but ultimately only this one made it across the road for me. Quite surprised as it was the most "key" amongst them & at a very good price. I guess Black Knight is post peak these days .

The really nice Chamber Of Darkness #4 CGC 9.0 arrived a few days ago from the US. It means my old CGC 8.0 will go up for sale. Originally a raw Joe Koch "3 for $10" copy back around 1995, bought & slabbed by a local collector who upgraded his & sold it back to me around 2012 ;

I just bought this UK Marvel "Journey Into Nightmare" #3 (1978) for the PC. Nice reprints of US Marvel horror mags like Monsters Unleashed from the mid 70s. Added an image of #1 (that I don't have yet). I know these would interest @mediummic but they are tough to locate ;

Thanks to everyone who voted for Buck Dharma's best recorded live guitar solo. I found the full concert film from October 1981 in Florida, his winning moment begins at 31' 30". He had nailed everything in sight all show long .

Won this Lot of 43 Silver Age (1967/68) Fantastic comics this afternoon. Most look to be in good condition for these Power comics. Hard to find in better than Fine. 1st Hawkeye is the standout. Adding to what I have it should provide good spares for @mediummic & drops in the US ;

Woke up to find i'd won a nice CGC slab in a US auction. Closed at 01:30 am my time. Hard to value this one as a 1970 Conan Prototype by Thomas & Smith is a big deal to some of us. Won @ $92, had bid just over $102. I'll keep an eye on their future listings ;

Here's my raw copy of Amazing Spider-man #3 (1963). It was the first Marvel story I ever read way back in Mighty World of Marvel #8 in December 1972 (blew my tiny mind!) so bringing in the original in 1991 meant a lot. It's a nice copy ;.#topshelfFriday

This CGC slab just arrived. 1st Miller artwork on DD. Bit of a surprise win but very welcome. I just nudged ahead in the bidding about 10 hours out at the weekend & it stuck ;
