pball keeps talking about how langdon wants to “exceed” at recovery + project an image that everything is fine. that certainly tracks with an addict that’s too embarrassed to admit that his marriage is over and is lying to spare himself the embarrassment (and deny it to himself)
so langdon has gone from "abby stayed" and making it sound like his marriage had no issues straight to "my wife threatened to divorce me and i almost lost my kids". the story changed as langdon shared more of the truth. y'all know what they say about the rule of threes.
