unexpected feature of locally-defined agents: the conversation is much more human-like versus the productized ones bc they’ve optimized for number of times you follow-up prompt, they’ve created a surprisingly inferior product it’s hard to go back once you’ve rolled your own

last week I learned that @bcherny wrote Programming Typescript, so I bought a copy and read it over the weekend. highly recommend! types are the abstraction that replace programming languages when working with agents. grind the types / signatures, then let the agent implement.

This. I only make a handful of trades each year, but they’re generally obvious from a R/R perspective. Just wait for it to rain money and grab some.
Wait for 3 weeks, take a couple haircuts, and then you have a week like this. Completely erases and makes irrelevant a few paper cuts. THIS is why I am always patient. The market will always provide opportunity to those with the skill to see it and the patience to wait.
