He's getting cocky, going to spin around and face him but in doing so he manages to trip himself up, stumbling on the ice.

amara’s nose scrunched up, “mm, you can just call me amara, ma’am makes me feel like i’m at least 40.” she laughed softly as she correctly placed the plates.

amara gave him a smile back, setting each up before carrying them over easily, glad it was jsut the two plates with how her arms ached. “here you go, who’s is who’s?”

“ he’s at all the home games. the partners of my teammates love looking after him for me during the games. ” humming softly.
He couldn't help but smile at that. He'd never been the best with kids but he still thought they were adorable. "Do you bring him around to the games? I'm sure he thinks it's awesome to see his dad play."

amara smiled warmly at the two, “i’ll get those right out.” she carefully went back to to the counter, grabbing plates to cut into the pie and place the slices down. “you want any whipped cream or ice cream with them?” she called out from her spot

“ oh yeah, i’m not very good in the heat. ” chuckling, skating a couple laps. “ but i get to play the game i love so it could be worse. ”
He laughs as well, shaking his head and looking down to his hands. "You're telling me, it's always so much more chaotic. Plus I swear I'll never get used to the heat in some states."

she nods, going to make their drinks, coming back a few minutes later with both. easy to be quick when nobody else was around. “here you guys go, you need a second to look at the menu still? i can totally come back around.”
