A big mistake I have seen entrepreneurs make is to commit salaries that they can’t afford. The “we’ll figure it out” attitude is not a reliable plan and in most cases you will need a lot longer than expected to “figure it out”. Stay within your budget. Always. There’s no point.

Undoubtedly the best change we made over the last year has been to cut our sugar intake as a family. We now consume <1kg/month as a family of 6 and everyone’s health has improved for the better. Highly recommend.

My team accidentally pushed a change to prod which would delete all bids for the auction when a particular bid was deleted. Ended up deleting 10k+ records and then restoring them using application logs.

Only a few years ago I was so broke that I couldn’t afford a bus ticket, now we are taking 40+ people from our team to Thailand for a 4 day offsite. God has been kind. 🙏.
