Tropical berry fruits that have many beneficial medicinal properties! The green one is called Phyllanthus Acidus or Arai Nellikkai (Tamil). The red one is called Surinam berry (Eugenia Uniflora). Both berries are rich in vitamin C and flavonoids.

Chronic kidney disease is rapidly increasing around the world. Environmental pollution, global warming and diabetes are likely contributing factors. Low-middle socioeconomic status countries are worst affected by this epidemic. The whole world needs to reckon with this,

Fortunate to visit with Dr Venkatesh- a man on a noble mission offering free dialysis to the needy. He established a 100-bed free dialysis unit in New Delhi with philanthropic support from a Gurudwara. Thanks to his effort, many ESRD patients who cannot afford dialysis are alive.

He should be given the credit he deserves. In my mind, he deserves to be considered “the Father of Medicine!
