In media this week, fourth and fifth grade students are learning about important change makers. They are researching change makers using Brittanica Online and Pebblego and then writing about how that person inspired them to make change.

In the Spring Valley Media Center, students continue to get practice on using Destiny Discover. They are learning how they can see what items they have checked out on their accounts without coming to the media center.

I am working on my @svemediacenter order today and finally read this book by Colin Kaepernick, I Color Myself Different. Such an affirming story and I it is definitely on my list. Wish I had this book when I was growing up in Chicago.

Censorship is wrong and librarians have a duty to speak up about it. Glad to work with @BespokeLib on the @NCSLMA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Committee. https://t.co/XPJsM5jzBX

The librarians have received thanks from those who say they are advocating for all students. Others think the librarians should be fired.
