#SEND community. At my wits end. My son has LD, autism and is non speaking. He hasn't eaten now for 12 days due to a mild dose of sickness and tonsillitis. We are currently in hospital but I'm concerned that we aren't moving forward re eating. Anyone been in similar situation?.

Huge thank you to all the team @RigbyHsch @RigbyH_PE for a great holiday club! My minime has come home very happy and tired from a fun day and it was lovely to see him playing with some of the amazing TAs at pick up. Thanks so much all,!.

Children can teach us so much. My step-grandaughter with my minime on holiday. She was incredible patient, accepting, kind, encouraging. Actually she just understands him and works to help him enjoy every experience - even if a helping hand is needed xxxxx

Juat had my son's updated EHCP plan and letter from our LA - signed "InsertSendersNameHere". It's those small little details and care and attention that really makes us feel seen and valued. ! Come on! Do Better!.

A marvellous cuppa at Sunday Forest School SEND session run by Forest Families Bromsgrove! We explored, adventured, laughed and made new friends! A really welcoming and inclusive setting !

Someone was asking me just this the other day about how I understand my minime and I explained - I slow down, ans by slowing down I understood all the physical cues, the body language the vocalising.
#OliversCampaign. A person who doesn’t use spoken words can communicate in many other ways. We just need to slow down, be patient, and truly listen with our eyes, ears, hearts, and minds. Always treat everyone with respect and dignity.

Currently half way through listening to the @CommonsPAC discussion on SEND education. I'm a mum to a young boy with severe learning disabilities. Here's my question: "How might we create a culture that recognises and embraces disability and builds a supportive system around that".

Took minime to the GP today at a new surgery & was so comforted by the GPs approach to both minime & I - a GP who openly advocated that there are 3 of us who need to input views - minime, me and GP. And all of our experiences count #learningdisability.
