They introduce the main conflict a little earlier than usual and they stick with it. Shinobu was also pretty important and she was a lot of fun... Very silly character. I really enjoyed this. Nisemonogatari so far has been my favorite part. <3

Hachikuji had her own moment of her foreshadowing the plot in a really stupid way. In classic Nisio fashion, the climax is more of an anti-climax, ending fairly abruptly and in an underwhelming way. This volume in general was just a lot more tense than the original.

From her mannerisms, to her curse, to just how weird of a character she is. I've always liked really violent characters like her. Araragi gets his shit rocked by her, significantly more than he had when he fought the Rainy Devil. I love her design, as well.

probably the best part of the novel. Their actual introductions were great and their presence in the novel was superb. If it weren't for Nadeko, Kagenui would probably be my favorite character in the series. She is. so. cool. Like she is SO cool.

Nisemonogatari Part 2 If I hadn't finished this book on New Years' Day, it would definitely be my favorite novel of 2025. Every little bit of this novel had me captured, from the action to the banter. It only got better as it crept closer to the climax.

Books I finished in December c: I've probably elaborated on most of these earlier last month. Pretty good month for reading for me at least. Really been enjoying the Monogatari series. I'm just about finished With Nisemonogatari Part 2

Shiori Experience is a great manga and it does a good job of not feeling insensitive when handling characters like Kurt Cobain or Jimi Hendrix... Because they just, like, are themselves. BSD just kind of gentrifies these real life authors and turns them into shallow archetypes.
Bungo Stray Dogs has always been so yucky to me because you're taking these young authors who killed themselves and turning them into edgy twinks and little girls with super powers. What?
