👩⚕️ Population: Adults (16+) with fractures of the hand or wrist requiring fixation with K-wires. 🧪 Intervention A: Buried K-wires 🧪 Intervention B: Exposed K-wires 🎯 Outcomes: •Surgical Site Infection (SSI) risk at 90 days •Hand & wrist recovery at 6 months

❓ Why this research? Hand & wrist fractures are common. K-wires are routinely used in surgery but we don’t know if leaving them exposed or burying them under the skin is safer for patients.
