Update: bless her, my Auntie ended up being 2.5 hours late as she won’t use her sat nav and doesn’t have a mobile. My directions didn’t work out as there were roadworks unbeknown to me. It’s quite hard to give directions when it’s 3hrs away. She’s a game old bird.

My Auntie is visiting us today for lunch. She wanted to come and see our “ new house “. We’ve been here over 2 years now and it’s a 3hr drive but owing to the fact she is busy most days combined with us working full time, this is the first time she has been free. She’s 82!.

When I was a kid , fruit picking went as follows- June and July - strawberries and other currants and berries. September onwards blackberries and apples. Round our way in Wiltshire the blackberries have been ripe since July! Early autumn this year I reckon!.

We notice how quickly the month goes by suddenly realising its premium bonds day again tomorrow - and we marvel at how quickly it’s gone since the same day last month. It’s crazy how quickly the weeks spin by !

Twatdog strikes again! Poor Bunny Wabbit has met his demise. He’s lasted intact since we got him for Bentley for Easter. If anyone is thinking of getting a lab, I know where there’s one going cheap. Or free. Whatever 🤪🥴🤷♀️

Yesterday having lunch at a posh Cotswold place with a friend. 2 couples at next table and their assorted kids. Baby being held by wife knocked a fork in the floor. She picked it up. Dad immediately starts shouting she had done it on person as was his fork. Domestic ensued 😳🤷♀️.
