Couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph this man at his farm while driving through central Iran. Just one of many amazing encounters with the Iranian people and a beautiful reminder that people are not their governments.

Ancient ruins blend seamlessly into the desert landscape of Iran slowly returning to a state of what once was. With time, this fortress will become indistinguishable from the very land used to create it.

In autumn, cypress tree swamps become alien landscapes with their otherworldly transformation – the normally green needles turn a vivid orange, creating a captivating contrast against the dark, murky waters where all sorts of alien-like creatures call home.
