When I first played Doom in 1994 I thought it was a pretty cool game. This use of Doom however, is FAR cooler.

This is pretty cool. At the @CockroachDB booth at #KubeConEU we have Doom running but whenever you kill an alien, it kills a #CockroachDB node and you can watch as it heals and comes back online.

Database software will never be free from bugs. What differentiates the best database vendors is their response to issues that arise. I'm happy to see that we were able to go above and beyond with this @CockroachDB customer.

I am really impressed with this update to the issue we hit from @CockroachDB's Marcus Gartner -- it's a master class in dealing with defects in one's software, and very reaffirming of our decision to use CRDB!

Only @natevanben could make staleness cool again. I have to agree with him though, the RFC is top notch!

Exact staleness isn't cool. You know what's cool? Bounded staleness. I've recently been working on a new form of snapshot read that minimizes staleness and latency in global @CockroachDB clusters. The work should land soon and the RFC is ⬇️

This is the future of SQL databases, Is taking time but hope it will be the most used SQL database in the future.

Today we released import, backup, restore, and CDC functionality in the free-tier of our fully managed database offering. Our goal is that our free-tier will become your production-ready database, and this is a huge step in that direction: https://t.co/tUiwDgal6f

It's been said that given an infinite amount of time and a keyboard, a monkey could produce the complete works of William Shakespeare. That same monkey setup a multi-region @CockroachDB database in less than 5 minutes. Yes, it's that easy.🐵🍌🌎 https://t.co/O53JkKGkDc

True multi-region isn't a marketing pitch, it's a reality that @CockroachDB version 21.1 now enables with its simplified distributed SQL database https://t.co/NNe5Qw02E7 via @TTBusinessTech

Want to build like Big Tech? Then you'll need your database deployed in multiple regions. We can help with that. On 5/19 watch @jaymce, @iamandywoods and @stormadamj explain why multi-region apps matter and how we've simplified them: https://t.co/cFiQEdLZvq #CockroachDB

If you're a Software Engineer and you suffer from Imposter Syndrome, know that you're not alone. Some recent research suggests that almost every Software Engineer is an Imposter. If so, does that make the remaining SEs the real Imposters? 🤔 https://t.co/MrNcRGQiZW

Once upon a time ✨, there was a self-proclaimed “database nerd” 🤓 who found his home at Cockroach Labs 🏰, and lived happily ever after 💜. Our Director of Engineering @stormadamj tells the tale of why he joined the team building #CockroachDB:
