Tried something new in #chemlab this week: use a #chatGPT to give you a procedure. It almost definitely won't be exactly what you're looking for, but leads to a discussion and Ss modify the responses. "Can we do this?" rather than "Where do I start?" #iteachchem #WeAreChappaqua

Ending the week with a molarity-specific Kool-Aid tasting. Ss calculated, massed, mixed, and ranked solutions from 0.050-0.40 M. Most tastes were in line with the actual recipe! #iteachchem #wearechappaqua

Lots of labs last and this week! First, Ss react iron with copper(II) sulfate, and determine if the iron reacts to take on a 2+ or 3+ charge. A magnetic stir bar helps the students comment on yield and purity of the copper product #iteachchem
