What a fantastic way for Year 5 to end the Spring Term with a trip to the theatre to see Awful Egyptians. The children laughed, joined in with the songs and saw some fantastic 3D effects while still learning 😀

Year 5 have had a brilliant day today at the Yonex Badminton World Championship. They got to watch some great players from all over the world competing against each other 🏸 #badminton

Science Week has started at St James with a brilliant assembly all about friction. Some of the children took part in different experiments to show how this force works #scienceweek 🧪👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

Some children in Year 3 have come dressed up as characters from their class novel ~ Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. They look amazing #worldbookday2025

KS2 have had a great start to World Book Day by taking part in 'The Great Big Footy and Booky Quiz' hosted by National Literacy Trust. The children had to pull on their knowledge of books and football to answer the questions - it was great fun 📕⚽️

Year 6 have had a fantastic day at their forensic workshop. A crime was committed and they had to follow different methods of collecting and analysing evidence to find the culprit #curriculum

The St James Young Voice Choir were very excited when leaving school earlier today. They are now ready to perform later on this evening with other schools. We wish them all the best of luck 🎶🎼🎵

EYFS and KS1 have had a fantastic day today acting out stories through dance. All the children really enjoyed the workshops and performing for each other 🎼🎶💃📕

Year 5 have produced some amazing work this afternoon during Creativity Week. Some of the children have been sewing while others have been writing their own musical song and performing to the class #teachwhatyoulove

Year 5 during their First Aid Workshop were taught the skills on how to respond in an emergency and even save lives. The children discussed and were shown what to do when an emergency occurs, how to complete simple first aid and how to perform CPR. #lifeskills

The Junior children have been transported into the world of Harry Potter today to experience the game of quidditch. The day started with an assembly where the children were sorted into houses by the Sorting Hat so they could learn this team game together.

Year 6 have had a wonderful first day back at school by taking part in a fantastic workshop about Antarctica. The children are now eager to learn more about about this fascinating landscape ❄️🏔️

Wow! What a fabulous nativity Year 1 and 2 have performed this week. The singing was amazing and the acting was brilliant. It was a nativity to remember ✝️🎄

Year 4 had a great talk this morning from our school nurse all about self-esteem. The children were given strategies to help them to improve their self-esteem and believe in the person they are #pshe

The Worship Council visited St James Church to learn more about Advent. While at the church they decorated the Christmas tree and interviewed Father Wayne about what happens during Advent and Christmas at the church #LetTheSeasonBegin 🎄✝️🌟

Thank you to the parents who attended the Every Journey Matters workshop. The sharing of stories of the different journeys which make up our community was insightful. We are blessed to live in such a rich cultural area where our children can learn from living histories #EJM
