Much as you lot won't want to heat it, this shit won't work without Nico
You want Nkunku drifting around the pitch free of holdup responsibilities, go rewatch the first half and see how much dirt work Nico went through
Ironically enough could've had an assist to Nkunku
@sthsthburner
Also Palmer loses the ball so much when playing central. Been a huge issue whenever he's playing there for us. Much better starting wider, so it's him or Noni.

@SeunMobolaji
Could've had an assist for Nkunku AND Mudryk with that backheel too. Criminally underrated performance. Great linkup play throughout.
@sthsthburner
Nico and Broja are quite important. Their physicality draws these defenders to themselves. They don't need to score each time, but the thought of them scoring should be scary that they don't mark Nkunku as much. That's how they work as targetmen.
@sthsthburner
Exactly. People dont realize chelsea are too small.
Enzo/caicedo/nkunku/mudryk all 5”10
Madueke/palmer are 6ft BUT both are lightweights and not very physical
Imagine if this was your front 6, you’d have zero physical presence…
@sthsthburner
@SeunMobolaji
Mudryk is not a superstar winger where you can just give him the ball and have fun. You need to feed him high where he can acellerate in space.
@sthsthburner
Nico is a standup glue for all these mathematics.....with all the hardwork he does, he has not been injured. Dude is a critical part of this conversation.
@sthsthburner
Broja looked great in the
#9
last night. Palmer should start on the right and Nkunku in the
#10
.
Noni should rotate with Palmer and Sterling can battle out his preferred position on the left with Mudryk.
