But we have lost MORE people to black on black crime. We need to first address this issue. We can’t expect someone to value and respect our own more than we do. Defunding the police won’t fix that or police brutality. We need a new slogan that doesn’t need to be explained.
With all due respect, Mr. President—let’s talk about losing people. We lost Michael Brown Jr. We lost Breonna Taylor. We’re losing our loved ones to police violence. It’s not a slogan. It’s a mandate for keeping our people alive. Defund the police.
