What value is there if product initiatives are derived and decided in the c-suite without it being driven and tested by customer input and customer outcomes? Deciding initiatives based solely on revenue over outcomes is a ready, fire, aim mentality.

Work is evenly shared across a team. If 1 team member has multiple stories active and others are looking for work to do, then collective ownership is not being valued or practiced. Even if it slows you down, pair up, share the work, share knowledge. You will speed up. #agile.

What a tightrope lined with landmines that leads to a pot of gold; deciding what’s the next most meaningful work to do. #agile #scrum.

If you preassign all your tasks in a sprint container at the start of a sprint, you’re working in silos. You’re not a team. Cross train. Be cross functional. Even if it slows you down at first. You’ll speed up in the long run. #agile #scrum.

Estimating in #Scrum isn’t about picking who on the team would be the slowest one to complete the task and use that as a measure. Stop thinking like individuals and think like a team!.

Wondering about why it’s so hard to determine direction for software? What about having some conversations with the end users, plural? What better data could there possibly be? #agile.

Customer first, customer centric, measure all decisions against the North Star that is whether or not it is the next most meaningful thing to do for your customer. #agile.

Paralysis by process that prevents simple conversations is a Trojan horse surrounding #agile teams. Looks good on paper, but chance for discovery through interactions and level-setting on needed data points to course correct is lost. Let’s talk!.

Reality wins. there’s a finite sustainable velocity and capacity per #agile sprint. stack ranking and prioritization better be rocket science to maximize value output. Ye be warned!.

When did #agile get wrapped up in so much traditional project management?.

Transparency in #agile #scrum is crucial, even if the news would be perceived as bad. You can’t improve or course correct otherwise.

If you’re on an #agile dev team and you prefer silos and independent work, you are dead weight to the team.

Inclusion in planning > exclusion. Broaden your cone vision. Many cones will equate to a full 360 view if you consider including cross-functional SMEs, like a pie chart. Many pieces make the whole. #agile #productowning #productmanagement.

If you buy a bundled set of tools, you may not need or use every one. Same with #agile, use the tools you need based on the results you require. Don’t obsess on being a purest if you don’t get the value. Waste is waste.

Risky business; Not engaging your stakeholders and end users for feedback between sprints. We're making the product, not buying or using it. Stop Daffy Ducking the product direction.

Happy employees will work hard for your customers who will drive your revenue goals. Don’t value that in reverse.
