Just sayin', about a year ago @DukeNeuro prohibited students from providing food at thesis committee meetings. It hasn't harmed the atmosphere, it has removed one stressor for the students. This should not be controversial...

Exciting advance using amazing technology from Fan Wang's lab.
Study from Duke shows general anesthetics target a group of hypothalamic neurons to modulate sleep plus anesthesia https://t.co/wLZ5oYOpF5. Dr. Collins' blog on the paper reaches back to first demonstration of anesthesia in the Mass General Ether Dome. https://t.co/0p5fpgHyy5

I shadowed Rich O'Brien at the Duke Neurology Memory Disorders clinic this morning. Face-to-face with Alzheimer's Disease. Shocking, sobering, and activating. We need to rethink approaches to AD.

Congrats @VanessaPunal. Gorgeous talk!
Congrats to Dr. @VanessaPunal who defended her Ph.D. today with a brilliant talk. She was the first student to join my lab and the first to graduate. So proud of all she has accomplished! This is us on stage with her lovely retinal astrocyte pic as a backdrop.
