seeing kindle vs kobo discourse so lemme throw out another option: boox! got mine a few months ago & i love it bc i can upload files to it & it has google play so i can use libby and kindle (for KU & arcs) as well as other book purchasing apps. plus there’s a color model!

E reader makes me so much faster at reading but at the cost of annotating and sometimes being witty with the book I fear I can't win
