A really brilliant day! Our arts ambassadors visited the London studio of Levitt Bernstein who re-designed Bartlett Park. We gained insight into how architects, urban designers & landscape architects work together and develop their design ideas. Huge thanks to Kate & all at LB!

Ishaq crafted an exciting short story titled 3 Ballers, while Hajar wrote a beautiful poem about the forest. Not only did they demonstrate great initiative, but both showed incredible confidence by reading their work aloud to the class during our end-of-day show and tell.

Year 4 have recently begun their third writing piece, and the enthusiasm is contagious! So much so that two students from Helen Keller class, Ishaq and Hajar, were inspired to continue writing in their free time.

A group of Y5&6 children attended Spotlight for Poplar Parliament. The trip focused on anti-bullying and the group had to design a brochure, a mascot & a shield. They also had to present this all in front of the other schools and judges. Everyone worked so hard & had a great time

Year 2 Marie Curie class made posters for friendship week. They spoke about ways we can speak up if we see someone is being bullied. They then made a list of adults we can talk to about it.

Some Y6 pupils visited Shadwell Basin this week. They tried canoeing for the first time, there were a few initial nerves but once in the canoe, everyone was confident & having fun. They loved the trip & are planning on coming back during the summer holidays with their families!
