And it gets to a point where I’m embarrassed to like the ship because I know that there are people who enjoy the ship while being blatantly racist, ableist, misogynistic, biphobic and just stupid. And also the amount of proshippers in this fandom is just EUGH

Don’t get me wrong, there’s people like that everywhere and in other parts of the fandom, but the majority of them I’ve seen were jayviks.

What I think is sad, is that talking to the majority of jayviks feels like talking to a brick wall. You could tell them that they’re being racist and misogynistic, and they wouldn’t care, or blame you as the bad guy.
