We are delighted that the Farmers’ Weather Forecast was true and the rain stayed away for a truly fabulous Sports Day full of enthusiasm, resilience and encouragement. 💚Belief🏃‍♂️Aspiration💛

Magpie Class have been busy outside with their writing skills this week. They took Robin Class around the village sharing their Doulting Guides with them. They also started their new book unit ‘House Held Up By Trees’ by looking closely at trees and describing them.

Whilst our Year 6 children went up to their secondary schools, everyone else enjoyed a morning in their new classes with their new teaching team. 💚Belief🎨Aspiration😄Advocacy💛

We were delighted to welcome our new Reception children for their second transition, this time with Parents next door having a cuppa! The children were so calm and we loved getting to know them and their interests as we played together. 💚Belief🎨Aspiration🐷Advocacy💛

Funky Hair Day! Some went subtle, some went bold, some had plates, flags, volcanoes, the sea, and cups on their heads, and for some it wasn't for them, this time: all are welcome at St Aldhelm's. 💚Belief🧑‍🎤Advocacy💛

Year 6 having been exploring different careers that would involve maths. This week they made pizzas testing their ratio, proportion and measuring skills. 💚Belief📏Aspiration🍕Advocacy💛

It was Robin Class’s turn to visit St Aldhelm's Church for their Spiritual Retreat. They started with a slow, mindful walk and then enjoyed an active worship with Reverend Gill exploring Pentecost, before making Pentecost Crowns and cake too! 💚Belief⛪️Aspiration🔥Advocacy💛

What do teachers do on an INSET Day? Today, we had an amazingly inspiring day with the other schools from the @BathWellsTrust, hearing speakers talk about joy, rapport, stories, belonging, dreams and creativity. 💚Belief🤩Aspiration🌟Advocacy💛

Miss Mascall took members of our Netball Team and their families to watch @TeamBathNetball today take victory finishing second in the league. 💚💛🏐Aspiration🏐💙💛

Falcons and the Advocacy Group are taking part in the Brighter Days project. They have created positive messages and items to be included in packs for carers. They explored what a carer is and the amazing support they give to others before deciding what to create.💚Advocacy💛

Year 6 visited Wells Cathedral for their Moving Up Day with @BathWells. 💚Belief🙏Aspiration🌟Advocacy💛

It was a glorious Festival Themed Disco organised by the fabulous The Friends of St Aldhelm's School. Enormous thanks to all of our volunteers and school staff who’ve made the evening a success for our amazing children. 💚🎶💃Belief🕺🎸💛

It was a bit hot for Hot Chocolate today for our COOL card winners who earned the most Dojo points in each class. We did enjoy milk, squash and tasty snacks too! 💚Belief💛

Year 4,5 and 6 children have been learning about the body in fun ways. Kingfishers explored the digestive system using real life ingredients and were highly amused by the end of the digestive journey! Falcons created amazing circulatory system and blood models.💚Aspiration💛
