A huge congratulations to our Y5 & Y6 girls who took part in the girl's BWFC Football Cup this week at Power League, Bolton. After some fantastic wins, the girls narrowly missed out on a place in the semi's after a penalty shoot out. We could not be more proud of you all!

Today we had a lovely, reflective whole school assembly. We prayed for those who died to give us our freedoms and for those who we miss that have died. A wreath will be laid on Sunday at the Cenotaph on behalf of SS Osmund & Andrew's. #LestWeForget

Congratulations to all our pupils who took part in their First Holy Communion on Saturday. It was a wonderful day shared with families and friends. Well done to all of you!

Year 4 had a great time yesterday during their History Alive sessions about the Anglo Saxon invasion.

Our Year 5 science team attended a Science Competition at Bolton School yesterday. Our children worked well as a team and came second. We are all very proud of you. @BoltonSch

What a great afternoon our Year 6 pupils have had, PE followed by a pizza party! A much deserved treat after all the hard work and effort they have put in for their SATs exams. We hope you enjoyed your afternoon. We are so proud of you all.

Congratulations to our Year 5 & 6 girls who recently came 2nd in a school's football tournament at Castle Hill. They were fantastic throughout the whole tournament, which ended in a penalty shootout. Well done girls, we are incredibly proud of you all!

We will be holding a SEND coffee afternoon on Thursday 20th June: 1.30-3.00pm. This will be a chance to learn more about SEND at SS Osmund & Andrew's and we will have a guest speaker from Behaviour Support Services. All welcome to attend.

Everyone at SS Osmund & Andrew's would like to wish our Year 6 pupils good luck with their SATs this week. You have all worked incredibly hard to get to this point and we are all extremely proud of each and every one of you.

Thank you for the prayers which have been sent in this week. Mrs Doyle will take them with her to Our Lady’s Shrine in Walsingham. She will light a candle for each one and post them into the prayer box in the chapel.

Our Nursery children had a wonderful morning yesterday when they were visited by Curious Critters. They enjoyed seeing and holding various creepy crawlies!

Our Year 3 children have been participating in a Classroom Linking programme this year and welcomed children from St Thomas of Canterbury primary today.

Congratulations to class 1O who had the highest attendance last week at 99.2%. We are sure they will enjoy their extra treat at the end of the week. Whole school attendance last week was 96.3%.

Thank you for supporting our PJ Day on Friday which was organised by our School Council to raise funds to buy new playground equipment. In total £230 was raised. School are going to match this amount which means the School Council have £460.00 to chose new equipment.

This week's Gospel Reading of the Week is John 10:11-15. Mr Graves started this week's assembly with the reading and the children have continued to use it daily, in their class prayers and worship.
