If there is one area where Zambians come together, it is on saying NO to constitutional manipulation. They learnt it the hard way in 1972 with Kaunda and in 1996 with Chiluba. We saw this unity on the 3rd term and on Bill 10. We are seeing it now on Bill 7! Never again!

Voting is both our right and our duty. In a democracy such as ours, the power of the citizen, is expressed in the ballot box. Register to vote, no matter how long or cumbersome the process, patiently wait in line and safe guard your power, and right to vote!

In this @HOT877Zambia interview, I explain how Hichilema does even the right thing the wrong way! The ConCourt ordered him to appoint “an independent body of experts” to undertake constitutional reform. What does he do? He appoints personal friends like Cletus Mwiila from Monze!

Hello @HHichilema. May you please publish the Terms of Reference (TORs) that you have secretly issued to the Technical Committee on constitutional reform? TORs define the mandate and scope of the committee – structuring the way it works – and are meant to guide public

Zambia’s constitution provides for independent presidential candidates. The spokesperson of the President of Zambia does not know this basic fact!

I am still sad. Generally, such is the selective application of the law in Zambia today that when one hears that a person has been arrested, sent to prison, or denied bail, it’s easy to predict their ethnic identity even before further details are known. https://t.co/fclIFlS4Ux

I strongly condemn and completely reject this abhorrent tribalism and divisive talk of regionalism from Mumbi Phiri. To develop, Zambia does not need a given region or an individual from a particular ethnic group in State House. The country simply needs competent men and women

In June, the Constitutional Court ordered President Hichilema to appoint an “independent body of experts” that would conduct constitutional reform after “wide consultations with the people.” Today, Hichilema appointed a Committee of Praise Singers + 3 to undertake the exercise!

President Hakainde Hichilema is tribal, corrupt, undemocratic, vindictive, lawless, misogynist, a liar, hypocrite, and just a bad human being. If you thought Zambia had hit rock bottom under Edgar Lungu, buckle up. It’s going to get far, far worse. https://t.co/ruwTDOlX5a

The family of Edgar Lungu has today asked the Supreme Court of Appeal to overturn the Pretoria High Court’s decision to deny them permission to appeal against the lower court’s earlier ruling that the former president be repatriated to Zambia for burial. The family, citing errors
Outside the legal process, the dispute over Lungu’s burial will only end when Hichilema pledges that he will stay away from the funeral, as per Lungu’s wishes. As I stated in this interview, talks between the family and the Govt are likely to fail over this sticky issue.

Mr. President, can you publicly promise and assure peace-loving Zambians that you will easily concede defeat and hand over power IF you lose the 2026 election?
We are working late into the night, preparing our speech for the opening of parliament on Friday. Yes, we will talk about energy, development, and free education. What else is on your mind? Taking notes. Bally
