Actually, they don't even write the code, AI does, so it doesn't qualify.

#AI has turned 10x developers into 100x developers: now they write crap code 100 times faster.

#UnpopularOpinion The "I've got XX+ years of experience" is a very a weak argument. The more I interview people, the more I realise. Some 15+ years folks can't write decent code. One couldn't even do a process.env.VAR. Next time you want to win an argument, bring actual value.

@marclou @balazsorban44 Everyone who codes professionally knew it was only a matter of time before this happened. The entire indiehacker community is filled with arrogant amateurs who brag about shipping broken products and not writing tests. Learn to code.

If React Native's "New Architecture" ever gets an evolution, is it going to become "New New Architecture"?

If you have't watched it yet, don't get put of by the rather dull thumbnail. This is one of the best anime I've watched, a masterpiece of storytelling and a rollercoaster I couldn't put down once it took off. It starts slow but steady and then blows up. Incredible story. 10/10

Just finished watching Steins;Gate. I ignored this anime for a long time because it didn't look too appealing and watched it out of "I should watch it". The only thing I wish is that I could go back 2 weeks in time to watch it again for the first time. What a masterpiece...

About the Hype Train, I had to look for alternatives for critical things such as: - Database packages: Hive (I regret not using good old SQLite) - Chart library: can't remember the name, but got abandoned, and my app was like 50% charts - State management: where to start...

4. I don't need the extra performance Flutter gives in some cases. Only for one app, but won't release that one anyway. Most apps I like making are rather mundane performance wise. Flutter's DX is still miles ahead from what I've seen though, I would miss that very much.

3. Flutter Hype Train >>> React Native Hype Train If you think the React and JS ecosystem changes too quickly, give Flutter's a try and come back horrified. I've got a life and can't keep up anymore with dead corpses (abandoned libraries), 15 ways of doing state management, etc.

I thought I would never say this, but I might move from Flutter to React Native for my mobile app projects 🙃 Don't get me wrong, I still Flutter is superior, but: 1. I had to use it at work, it wasn't as bad as I thought (not that it was great) 2. TypeScript >>>> Dart

So bypassing a paywall is not a critical issue, according to some gurus. Make peanuts with actual products, sell your flawed crappy codebase, then blame others. WTF. I'm blocking all these mustached pseudo-engineers because they keep showing up on my feed for some weird reason.

I was a virgin, an hour ago. I've never blocked anyone after 3 years on Twitter. But my feed in the past 30 days is made of developers who think the world can be fixed with more tests. Dozens of people try to screw my sites every day. And they claim a CRITICAL VULNERABILITY

There is literally no reason to use spaces instead of tabs for structural indentation. You can configure tabs to display as 2, 4, or 25 spaces if you like, but achieving something similar with spaces is a pain. Forcing X number of spaces makes no sense.

@BalatroGame Funnily enough, I almost released a mobile game written in Lua (Corona SDK, now Solar2D) back then. I rebuilt it in Unity (which I deeply regret) because Corona built the APKs in some remote server and I didn't have much control over the build process. Otherwise Corona was superb
