Introducing your new virtual assistants GIF & GIF! (and associates) 👾
This is an animated web series I’m working on, so it’ll take some time, but for now here’s a quick intro for each character!
Still bizarre to me that this was one of Nintendo’s best selling games of all time and they just completely dumped it after a few updates that gave it half of the features/personality of the 3DS game preceding it
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is 4 years old.
Key Stats
- 45 million units sold worldwide
- The best selling game of all time in Japan
- Almost three years since the last update
In my opinion, Nintendo should have supported it longer.
Just found out Pixar laid off the person who saved Toy Story 2 and 75 other people which included veteran animators from the 90s, so no, I do not regret roasting this movie
Okay
I feel like Disney gaslit all of us into thinking this movie was going to be bad
Elemental is an emotionally charged film with a compelling plot, but Disney cherry picked every cringe pun and staged the Rizz Master Clod marketing campaign to sabotage it
ELEMENTAL IS GOOD!!
One thing I noticed this past year is that it’s getting harder to figure out what the platform “wants.” It’s extremely inconsistent in what it considers “quality content” in that Mr Beast spends 3 mil per video, while content farms post 3 sweatshop vids a day and get (1/?)
This episode (where Finn makes his girlfriend and Ice King fight so he can keep having wet dreams about it) made me drop Adventure Time cold turkey back in high school lmao
Why is Splatoon allowed to have an in your face post apocalyptic environment but Pikmin isn’t? Nintendo retconning Pikmin to take place in my back yard two weeks ago makes it way less compelling
Just went to a Kung Fu Tea for the Pikmin drink, and when I ordered it the manager said “I don’t know what you’re talking about” and when I pointed to the ad on the counter she rolled her eyes and said “I don’t know what that is but we don’t have it” in an aggressive tone lmao
The same amount of viewership. In most cases it only recommends videos over 20 minutes long, and if they’re shorter than that it HAS to be uploaded to Shorts to be seen, but then there are a select few channels that can post horizontal 1 minute videos and hit 1 mil every time
I’ve noticed a lot more channels that we’re doing VERY WELL suddenly hit a nose dive for no reason - the only trend being that they tend to upload less frequently than those who post once a week
It’s created an environment where ONLY commentary, letsplays, compilations, and content farms can survive. Their algorithm allows for exceptions to the rule, but they are few and far between
I like that Eggman could have easily just contacted Team Sonic by phone or video or whatever but decided to flex and invent paper that can display video and has built in speakers.
So far Pikmin 4 definitely FEELS like a game that took 10 years to make. From using a brand new engine, to completely rebuilding the structure of the gameplay from the ground up - I think this is gonna be a
“Live service games have given you all brain rot - they didn’t need to update the game at all ☝️🤓”
Maybe people wouldn’t have expected DLC if Nintendo hadn’t released the game in a half finished state and then promised to complete it through “2 years of monthly updates”
For some reason 8 years ago I really did not like the design of the Inklings, so my first Splatoon fan art was actually hater art. Anyway, happy birthday Splatoon!
Just want to add that I did keep watching eventually - I was like 15 when this episode came out, and I didn’t care about Finn’s character arc. I just thought the concept sucked and that the show wasn’t going to get any better lol (I was wrong)
It’s crazy that the Pickle Rick episode, McDonald’s Szechuan sauce incident, and “intellectual” copypasta all happened within the span of a month to permanently destroy the reputation Rick and Morty years before anything even came out about Justin Roiland
@Twittleyyy
No they aren’t, but it’s difficult to not be frustrated with Disney and Pixar for this decision. The fact that they dumped the entire crew that worked on Lightyear despite some of them being 20+ year veterans shows how much they respect their artists
