June is a month to educate yourself about Indigenous people. Create working relationships with an artist, a storyteller, a knowledge keeper, a wool weaver a cedar weaver or a community member. Erase any doubts or assumptions you may have about the Indigenous people in Canada.

My second time setting up at this event. It was an amazing day, met people from Iran, Spain, England, India and all over the U.S. sharing my teachings, knowledge and history of the Squamish people. It was a vey successful day 😊 my kit was a hit 😊😊

Honoured to be visiting Prince George this week for a memorial conference for the MMIWG. Meeting indigenous union members 👐🏽👐🏽👐🏽👐🏽 good to sit with indigenous people again 😊😊😊😊

Going into February is crazy. Time is flying, it’ll be a busy month but I’m looking forward to it. Praying to Creator to send me some good energy 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🙏😊😊

Week one done. Home for a couple of days then return to teach week two on reconciliation in the traditional territory of the Sts’ailes 👐🏽👐🏽😊😊🥶🥶📚📚

It’s way colder here with the wind chill. Our reconciliation course day one is down and went awesome. Sharing lived experiences of my own and two young men from this traditional territory. Was amazing hearing the true history of this place.

I haven’t packed yet lol 🧳🎒🛻📚 off to teach a course for two weeks in Harrison 😊🥶 it’s going to be cold there for a few days 🥶🥶 and get to spend the night before I leave with our grandson ❤️❤️

This is how I remember Christmas. Crate boxed oranges, mix of hard candy and uncle buffalo Mathias as Santa. It’s a very material holiday & with the cost of everything that’s had gone up in price, rent and all of the other bills most have it can be very stressful & expensive smh

Attended the ceremony for Indigenous Veterans today 🙏🙏👐🏽👐🏽 then sat with youth at UNYA for the evening 😊😊 grateful for today.

Wow the past month was so busy for me. Blessed to have travelled to share my knowledge, teachings and lived experiences with so many people. I took a few days off to sit and weave a commission that will be leaving my hands today. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Enjoyed my trip to Fort St. John. Met new BCGEU members and saw others that I’ve met through other workshops and meetings. Learning, sharing and teaching from an Indigenous lens on intersectionality. Off to provide a keynote in Salem, Oregon next weekend 😊😊👐🏽👐🏽

Well caught my first cold and flu of the year. Knocked me off my feet 😩😩🤒🤒 Creators way of telling me to rest before I get busy again 🙏🙏👐🏽👐🏽😌😌
